Bob Jasse, the former CEO of a high-tech firm, decided to spend his retirement providing relief to workaholics like himself. He and his wife, Susan, built Alyson’s Orchard, a 500-acre refuge in southern New Hampshire, replete with wildflowers, fishing and swimming ponds, and plenty of fruit trees.

Groups can wander the 90-acre apple orchard, picking fruits and berries, which they can bake into Susan’s to-die-for pies, in one of many cooking classes.
