Welcome to Retreats at Alyson's

Tucked in the rolling hillsides of the Connecticut Valley, Alyson’s natural beauty and surrounding countryside offers an ideal backdrop for a one-day workshop, week-long seminars or corporate picnics. Accented by the season and with so many different points of interests and activities to enjoy in the greater region, your event will be a hit with everyone. We offer three unique lodging experiences set in the middle of our acclaimed orchards. For indoor activities, Alyson’s new meeting facility holds up to 250 people. Take advantage of an environment that offers your corporation, clients, and employees an unforgettable offsite event.

Sarma’s Pond, an onsite freshwater pond, is a proven favorite for team building. Surrounded by evergreens, maples and plenty of open space, this location is a breath of fresh air that is sure to inspire. Our ponds have warmed to perfection by July and there’s nothing quite like a cool dip in the middle of a hot day.

Beyond the beauty of the orchard, there are hundreds of acres of woods and fields and two large spring fed ponds for boating, swimming, fishing, and skating. Alyson’s abundant space is also ideal for holding meetings or seminars. The property also features trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling as well.

Regardless of the season, there is no better place to pick than Alyson’s for your corporate offsite event. During the winter and early spring, Alyson’s is the ideal base camp for a day trip to nearby ski mountains such as Killington, Mount Snow and many others, as well as winter hiking and snowmobiling.

Spring, summer and fall at Alyson’s means a corporate retreat with outstanding golf opportunities at local courses such as Bretwood Golf Course, Bellows Falls Country Club and Keene Country Club. One of the world’s great nine-hole courses, The Hooper Golf Club, a classic Wayne Stiles designed course first put into play in 1926 is right down the road from Alyson’s.

During the warmer seasons, excellent biking and canoeing opportunities are also nearby and great trout fishing can be found right here on the farm. Besides the hiking trails found at the orchard, Alyson’s is a hop, skip and jump away from our region’s very own “Twin Peaks,” Mount Monadnock, one of the most climbed mountains in the world, and Pack Monadnock. Wapack National Wildlife Refuge, located on the north side of Pack Monadnock, contains 1,672 acres of wilderness and the 21-mile Wapack Trail. Bike rentals are available at a number of convenient locations and canoe rentals and guided excursions are also nearby.

Prefer to wander the beaten path? Discover the quaint gems of country antiquing or find new treasures at local art galleries. If your savage side is in need of soothing, the Brattleboro Music Center is calling your name and The Vermont Jazz Center holds jam sessions every Wednesday evening.

Of course, simply kicking back under the shade of a giant elm tree with a freshly picked apple, a new book, and not a care in the world is always relaxing.

At Alyson’s, we understand the need to stay in touch with the outside world. All lodging accommodations come equipped with WI-Fi and satellite TV.
